Abstract
This study investigates the process of academic integration and adaptation among undergraduate students within the context of Romanian higher education. In an increasingly diverse educational landscape, students’ ability to meet academic demands and to achieve socio-emotional integration into university life has become a key factor for educational success and for preventing dropout. The research is based on a questionnaire composed of 30 items, through which students’ perceptions are analyzed regarding academic adjustment, encountered challenges, availability of institutional support (faculty members, counseling services, learning resources), and risk factors that may negatively influence their academic trajectory. The sample includes undergraduate students enrolled in the Primary and Preschool Education and Orthodox Pastoral Theology programs within the Faculty of Orthodox Theology and Educational Sciences. The results highlight the importance of factors that influence academic dropout and may serve as a foundation for future studies aimed at developing targeted academic integration interventions.
