Abstract

In today's digital world, deepfake tech has turned into a big headache. This type of AI creates fake real-looking text, sound, video, or pictures that can fool or misdirect people. This research looks at various ways to spot deepfakes how well they work, and steps to reduce their impact. It digs into forensic methods, AI-powered detection tools, and cutting-edge machine learning systems.Deepfakes are a real problem for privacy, democracy, and how much we can trust what we see and hear. They mess around with video and sound using smart tech like Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). Trying to spot these fakes gets tougher as the tricks to make them get more advanced. So, we need to make better tools to catch them and keep online info legit. This study also shows that it’s super important for governments, businesses that make tech, and schools to work together. They need to spread the word to everyone, improve the technology, and set up rules to block those deepfakes from fooling us all.
