A Reflection on the Changing Actors and Purposes of International Cooperation for Development

Abstract
The articles presented in this special issue of the Revista Internacional de Cooperacion & Desarrollo share, at least, a couple of common denominators. First, their authors belong to different universities around the world, but to the same Cooperation and Development Network (CDN), an informal, international, North-South alliance among universities and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in charge of promoting good development thinking, practices, and education. Moreover, and more importantly, despite the apparently very diverse topics they deal with, the articles in this special issue are all, directly or indirectly, related to the crises of multilateralism, as well as the role of development cooperation as a means to re-think and re-shape multilateralism itself.
