The noise radar enables the reception of signals from a precisely defined range cell, significantly reducing the level of jamming signals, and allows multiple UAVs with noise radars to operate in the same area without interfering with each other.

Abstract

This article presents the concept of using a noise radar implemented on a UAV (Un-manned Aerial Vehicle) and its actual application as a component of a system for remote triage procedures for injured people. The solution utilizes a broadband radar with a continuous noise transmitted signal, an analog correlation detector, and a fixed analog delay line. The radar operates at a frequency of 9.2 GHz and enables the detection of micro-movements on the order of tens of micrometers. The noise radar enables the reception of signals from a precisely defined range cell, significantly reducing the level of jamming signals, and allows multiple UAVs with noise radars to operate in the same area without interfering with each other. The article includes research results on human vital signs, such as respiratory rate and heart rate, obtained using remote sensing.
