Abstract
Managing hospital appointment efficiently is a growing challenge, especially with increasing patient loads. This research introduces Sehat Qataar which is a web-based appointment scheduling system designed to solve long patient queues in Pakistani hospitals. Generally, traditional appointment system leads to long waiting time, overcrowding and inefficient scheduling among patients due to the lack of real-time management. All patients are given equal time without considering the nature of visit such as whether the patient is an urgent case, new or follow-up. To address this our system Sehat Qataar uses K-means clustering on collected patients’ data to differentiate patients into different categories based on their type (new patient, follow-up, report showing or serious) and dynamically adjusts time slots. This system is built using .NET framework, following MVC architectural pattern with responsive bootstrap-based front-end. Features like real-time queue tracking and email notifications keep patients informed about any rescheduling in appointment time (AT). Results shows that the proposed system will improve patient flow, reduce waiting time and will enhance the overall hospital efficiency. The queue visualization will reduce double booking and overcrowding in hospitals. As a result, hospital efficiency will improve significantly, and overall patient satisfaction will increase due to less waiting time.
