A descriptive study of a developing computer-supported writing environment in a first-grade whole language classroom

Observations of the teacher's process and struggle in learning to use the computer herself for writing and at the same time integrate the computer into her Writer's Workshop suggest that computer staff development is critical when a novice computer-using teacher introduces computers to children for writing.
