A Comparative Study of Extractive and Abstractive Approaches for Automatic Text Summarization on Scientific Texts

This paper aims to study the performance of some of the existing state of the art text summarization algorithms on scientific papers, which are relatively long documents and proposes a chunk-based approach for the abstractive algorithms (Google Pegasus and T5).
