It is concluded that both the metabolomic and metallomic profiles of berberine-treated hypercholesterolaemic rats were different from those of the control group and that the selected metabolites and elements could probably be applied as potential biomarkers for the understanding of the effect of Berberine on biochemical process in the animal model.
