Abstract

Tubal blockage is a leading cause of female infertility, contributing to 25-35% of cases globally. Conventional treatments, such as surgical interventions or assisted reproductive technologies (ART) like in vitro fertilization (IVF), are often invasive and costly. Ayurveda, an ancient Indian medical system, offers a non-invasive alternative through Uttar Basti, an intrauterine instillation therapy aimed at clearing blockages in the fallopian tubes and restoring reproductive health. This case study examines the application of Uttar Basti in a 32-year-old female patient with bilateral tubal blockage, detailing the treatment protocol, clinical outcomes, and implications for integrative fertility management. The patient achieved partial tubal patency and successful conception after three cycles of Uttar Basti, highlighting its potential as a viable therapeutic option. This study underscores the need for further research to validate and standardize this Ayurvedic intervention.
