Abstract
Effective resource mobilization is essential for the sustainability and long-term growth of non-profit organizations. This Teaching Paper introduces five categories of practical digital tools—donor database software, grant management systems, crowdfunding platforms, volunteer management systems, and social media management tools—that strengthen fundraising and engagement strategies. By combining technology with organizational strategy, non-profits can diversify funding, improve accountability, and build stronger relationships with donors, volunteers, and communities. A case study illustrates how a mid-sized education non-profit integrated multiple tools into its fundraising strategy, resulting in improved donor retention, successful grant applications, and increased volunteer engagement. Designed as a stand-alone resource, this paper bridges academic scholarship and practice, equipping leaders and practitioners with actionable insights for building resilient and diversified funding ecosystems.
