Targeting CCL21-folic acid-upconversion nanoparticles conjugates to folate receptor-α expressing tumor cells in an endothelial-tumor cell bilayer model.

It is shown that it is feasible to load biologically active chemokines onto UCNs to modulate T cell migration and no significant cytotoxic effect was observed throughout the study indicating good biocompatibility of the nanoconjugates.
