Abstract

EGrab-Bot is a four-wheeled, autonomous robot with a gripper that is powered by a servo motor. Its main purpose is to pick up plastic bottles using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. At first, the robot will use obstacle avoidance to find its way around and use a camera as input to look for plastic bottles. In the event that YOLOv5s identify the presence of a plastic bottle, the robot will use centroid alignment to track the object's location in real time. Furthermore, when the robot navigates linearly to the real place of the object, the frontal infrared sensor will continuously check for the bottle. The robot will follow a preset pattern to pick up the bottle once it is within the gripper's range. With the YOLOv5s framework, the suggested design methodology produced a 94%\mathbf{9 4 \%} detection accuracy rate for plastic bottles.
