Prokaryotic Regulation of Epithelial Responses by Inhibition of IκB-α Ubiquitination

The identification of enteric organisms (nonvirulent Salmonella strains) whose direct interaction with model human epithelia attenuate synthesis of inflammatory effector molecules elicited by diverse proinflammatory stimuli is reported.
