Model based design of DVB S2 Transmitter and realization on SDR platform

With growing depend on Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Satellite based communication especially for high bit rate data transmission with short span of visibility period, Digital Video Broadcast Second Generation(DVB-S2) plays a vital role. DVBS2 is a satellite broadcast standard for modulation and coding. DVB S2 is implemented on a Software Define Radio(SDR) platform is proposed for LEO application where the visibility period is small, at the same time data transmission rate required is higher. Different modulation and coding schemes, recommended by DVB-S2 are modeled, simulated and the design is verified in Matlab – Simulink /Libero/SDR platform.
