Metabolic syndrome disorders in urban black Zimbabweans with type 2 Diabetes mellitus.

In this population of urban diabetic patients, hyperinsulinaemia has a relatively weak association with hypertension and the relationship between obesity versus diastolic blood pressure as well as hypertriglyceridaemia versus serum insulin levels requires further investigation.
