Kolomna Machine-Building Plant: its activities during the Revolution and the Civil War (1917–1920)

The article reveals the specifics of the Kolomna MachineBuilding Plant during the Revolution and the Civil War. The process of creation and separation of the Kolomna MachineBuilding Plant into an independent enterprise of the Bachmanovo Mechanical Artillery Plant is shown. The process of evacuation of the Petrograd Arsenal to the base of the Bachmanovo Mechanical Plant is considered. The creation of the first state association of machinebuilding plants on the basis of KolomnaSormovo concern and the successful implementation of a shock program for the construction of new rolling stock for Russian railways are investigated.
