Abstract
Subject/topic. In the context of the intensifying struggle for leadership between the United States and China in the exploration of outer space, the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions for Russia, the task of analyzing the implementation of space programs in India and other countries of the world is becoming especially urgent. At the same time, assessing India's prospects for the implementation of space flight programs, lunar exploration, planetary research, as well as the implementation of military space programs and dual-use space programs is also due to the need to determine possible areas of Russian-Indian cooperation and ensuring security in space. Objectives / tasks. To analyze in chronological order the areas of India's space exploration and assess the prospects of this country for the implementation of space flight programs, lunar exploration, planetary research, as well as the implementation of military space programs and dual-use space programs. Methodology. The work analyzes in chronological order the areas of India's space exploration and assesses the prospects of this country for the implementation of space flight programs, lunar exploration, planetary research, as well as the implementation of military space programs, and dual- use space programs. Results. Based on the results of the chronological analysis of the directions of India's space exploration and the assessment of this country's prospects for the implementation of space flight programs, lunar exploration, planetary research, as well as the implementation of military space programs, dual-use space programs, possible directions of Russian-Indian cooperation and ensuring security in space are identified. Discussion/Application. An approach is proposed to conducting a chronological analysis of the directions of India's space exploration and assessing the prospects of this country for the implementation of space flight programs, lunar exploration, planetary research, as well as the implementation of military space programs and dual-use space programs. As a result, possible directions of Russian-Indian cooperation and ensuring security in space can be identified. Conclusions/Significance. The results of the chronological analysis of the directions of India's space exploration and the assessment of this country's prospects for the implementation of space programs can be used to substantiate recommendations to the leadership of our country on Russian- Indian cooperation and ensuring security in space. It is concluded that India can become one of the leaders in space exploration, which determines the possibility of expanding Russian-Indian cooperation and ensuring security in space.
