Abstract
This empirical study investigates the conversational intelligence of ChatGPT in healthcare and its impact on AI adoption, drawing insights from physicians and patients. Utilizing surveys and interviews, the study explores perceptions of ChatGPT’s effectiveness, user acceptance, and areas for improvement. Findings reveal generally positive attitudes toward ChatGPT, with high levels of user engagement and satisfaction. While certain aspects such as adaptive learning and context awareness received favorable evaluations, opportunities for enhancement in emotional intelligence and empathy were identified. Demographic differences did not significantly influence perceptions, indicating universal acceptance. Theoretical implications advance our understanding of conversational AI adoption, while practical implications highlight opportunities for personalized care and streamlined administrative tasks. Overall, this study underscores ChatGPT’s potential to revolutionize healthcare delivery, emphasizing the need for ongoing refinement to ensure empathetic, efficient, and universally accessible interactions.
