Computer analysis of non‐invasive measures of cardiovascular variability for deducing autonomic function and for risk stratification

It is suggested that authors should be discouraged from using the term ‘autonomic variability’ unless their work differentiates between autonomic and non-autonomic causes of CVV, and discussion of ‘variability’ refers predominantly to changes that are repeated regularly so that the frequency of the change, as well as the change itself, can be analysed.
