Abstract

AI-driven microbiome engineering is transforming sustainable agriculture through real-time soil health monitoring, microbial ecosystem optimization, and data-driven decision-making. This paper introduces a 6G-enabled precision farming framework that integrates artificial intelligence with ultra-low-latency communication to enhance crop yield and soil sustainability. The system leverages deep learning models for microbial profiling, achieving 97.1% accuracy, while 6G connectivity ensures near-instantaneous data transmission (0.3 ms latency) and adaptive responses. Experimental results demonstrate improvements in soil fertility assessment (+42%) and crop yield (+23%) compared to conventional methods. While the framework shows clear advantages in accuracy, speed, and reliability, challenges remain in adapting AI models across diverse soil types, reducing deployment costs, and ensuring farmer usability. Future research will focus on enhancing AI robustness, integrating quantum AI for microbial analysis, and strengthening blockchain-based agricultural data security.
