A Philosophical and Cybersemiotic Reading of Von Uexküll’s Umwelt Theory

This paper proposes a philosophical, cybernetic, and cybersemiotics reading of von Uexküll’s Umwelt theory, which establishes a cybernetic view on the idea of the functional cycle as a pre-requisite for meaning and communication, which entails a cybersemiotics point of view of meaning emergence.
