A Fellow’s Perspective on the Threatened Closure of the Illinois Poison Center

It is baffling that the nation’s oldest poison center, the Illinois Poison Center (IPC), is again under imminent threat of closure, with multiple reasons, including budget cutbacks and increasingly strict center certification criteria, the number of poison centers decreased rapidly.
