Abstract

Since 2007, the Brazilian Equatorial Margin has drawn attention due to oil discoveries in West Africa and, from 2011, in the Guyana-Suriname Basin. The Potiguar Basin stands out as promising in deep waters, especially after findings in the Pitu-Oeste and Anhangá wells. However, studies on turbiditic channels in the Quebradas Formation remain scarce. This work aims to map and characterize these reservoirs using 3D seismic and well data provided by ANP, integrated in Petrel and Paleoscan software. Seismic attributes (RMS, sweetness, variance) and spectral decomposition were generated. Three distinct channels were identified, showing seismic anomalies that may suggest hydrocarbons. They vary in trajectory and confinement but form distal lobes with NE-SW sedimentation. The correlation between geophysical attributes and paleotopography improves understanding of sedimentary dynamics and indicates areas with exploration potential, though further studies and drilling are needed.
