Abstract
The article, based on the satirical magazine “Krokodil” for 1965-1985, examines the “distortion” of Soviet trade, which influenced the everyday life and worldview of Soviet society. Based on a visual series, various deformations that occurred in Soviet trade are demonstrated, as well as their fixation in the public consciousness. The choice of this period for the study was due to the vector of economic reform as a period of “mature socialism”.
