This article discusses various approaches to the concept of the definition of «algorithmic thinking», highlights its components and levels of development. Examples of tasks for students of grades 10–11 are presented, which contribute to the development of algorithmic thinking of students in the process of teaching a specialized computer science course. The proposed tasks are based on the students' mastering of basic algorithms.
