摘要
Abstract. We propose to analyse the voices of the female characters in
Balada de Amor ao Vento, a novel by the Mozambican writer PaulineChiziane. She takes a critical look at traditional Mozambican society in thegrip of profound changes resulting from the influence of modernity. Throughthe voices of submissive and rebellious female characters, Pauline Chizianequestions the patriarchy anchored and camped in an authentic andharmonious purely Mozambican environment where waterways and greenerycoexist. This romantic environment contrasts with the alienation of women.Palavras-chave: Vozes femininas, Patriarcado, Tradição, Modernidade,Casamento.Mots-clés : Voix féminines, Patriarcat, Tradition, Modernité, Mariage. Keywords: Female Voices, Patriarchy, Tradition, Marriage
